RETURNS & CANCELLATION POLICY

This policy explains the rights and obligations of customers regarding returns, cancellations, and the right of withdrawal when purchasing container houses from TerraBox AB. It forms an integral part of our Terms & Conditions.


1. General Principles

Due to the nature of container houses — which are high-value, large-scale constructions and often manufactured to order — returns and cancellations are handled differently from ordinary consumer goods.

TerraBox AB complies with applicable EU consumer protection legislation while also accounting for production, engineering, and logistical realities.

2. Right of Withdrawal (Consumers)

In accordance with EU distance selling regulations, private consumers generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the date of contract conclusion.

Standard Models

  • The right of withdrawal applies for up to 14 days after contract conclusion
  • The right of withdrawal expires earlier if production has started
  • If production starts within the 14-day period, the right of withdrawal no longer applies

Custom-Designed Container Houses

The right of withdrawal does not apply to container houses that are:

  • Designed according to the customer’s specifications, or
  • Clearly personalized

For custom projects, the right of withdrawal expires once the design has been approved by the customer.

3. Cancellation Before Production Start

Customers may cancel their order before production has started, subject to the following:

  • The booking fee (normally 10%) is refundable only within the 14-day withdrawal period
  • After 14 days, the booking fee may be retained to cover planning, engineering, and administrative costs

4. Cancellation After Production Start

Once production has started, cancellation by the customer is considered a breach of contract.

In such cases:

  • The booking fee becomes non-refundable
  • Any additional deposits already paid may be partially or fully retained
  • The customer may be charged for costs incurred up to the cancellation date, including materials, labor, engineering, and logistics

5. No Returns of Completed Container Houses

Completed or delivered container houses cannot be returned.

This applies regardless of whether the container house has been:

  • Delivered
  • Unloaded
  • Installed on a foundation
  • Partially or fully assembled

Any issues with the delivered product are handled under the Warranty & Defects Policy.

6. Business Customers (B2B)

For purchases made by companies or other legal entities, the right of withdrawal does not apply.

Cancellations by business customers are governed exclusively by the agreed contract terms.

7. How to Exercise the Right of Withdrawal

To exercise the right of withdrawal (where applicable), the customer must notify TerraBox AB in writing within the withdrawal period.

8. Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be processed using the same payment method used for the original transaction, unless otherwise agreed.

Refunds are processed within a reasonable time after confirmation of eligibility.

9. Governing Law

This policy is governed by Swedish law. In case of discrepancies between language versions, the English version shall prevail.
